Hello! I’m glad you’re here. I pray this post would spark anticipation and expectancy in your heart. May you be blessed!
Feast on Christ
You do not want to miss the deep work the Spirit of God is doing in his sons and daughters. Christ is making himself available in great measure today. Take advantage of the resources he sends to you and apprehend everything you can – now is the hour to feast on him!
For those who may be standing on the sidelines hearing about greater opportunities in Christ and watching from a distance, I urge you to come and seek the deeper things of God. Jesus has a special path, marked, provisioned, and waiting just for you!
Is God igniting your heart to hunger and thirst for righteousness? Is he preparing you for greater intimacy and fellowship? A banquet is around the corner for you.
Birthing Christ
Many references in Scripture speak of Christ being “birthed” in us. Oh, that he would overflow out of our cup to one another and to a lost and dying world. But first, the cup must be cleansed and filled. I want new wine poured into a new bottle. How about you?
The Spirit of Jesus is doing a very unique and special work in his church. He is choosing many for an intensive work by the Spirit. Some call it a work of initiation, training and discipline. But it’s much more and much deeper.
The Father wants us to know and experience his delight in us and the pleasure of his love. Is that not what we are truly in need of at the deepest level of our heart and soul – to be soaked in his grace and mercy, rejoicing in his goodness?
I’m talking about a change in our nature, what we believe and how it is expressed. This is beyond being born again and Pentecost. This is a work of grace at the core of who we are.
Many in the church are experiencing new levels of healing and restoration from deep brokenness. How much and how deep healing and restoration comes depends on how much we can handle, how far we permit the Lord to take us, and his ultimate design and commissioning for us.
More will be shared about this in the future.
Moves of God
Each move of God is a distinct work and expression of Christ. A greater revelation of Jesus in the deepening story line of God and man.
Church history is filled with the “suddenness” of the moves of God. The very presence and majesty of Jesus evokes the “unexpected” in our lives when he comes.
For example, the Azusa Street revival (1906) birthed the Pentecostal experience in America. In many ways it ignited the evangelistic fervor of the ’20s and ’30s. And then the healing revivals in the ’40s and ’50s brought “healing” to mainstream America. People flocked to see the miracles of God from the likes of Oral Roberts, William Branham, Kathryn Kuhlman and many others.
The Latter Rain movement of the late ’40s propelled people into yet a deeper spiritual experience in Christ. Entire congregations sung in the spirit and basked in the presence of the Lord.
These were followed by the Charismatic Renewal and Jesus Movement in the ’60s and ’70s. How thankful I am my friend took the time to witness to me!
And out of the movements of the ’60s and ’70s birthed more movements in the ’80s and ’90s such as the prophetic movement, Toronto Blessing, Promise Keepers, Vineyard Church, etc.
Some prominent men and women voice strong objections to some of these past moves, even charging heresy. There will always be those who dismiss and diminish new moves of God. It is the history of the Church.
But those who experience the Lord, his beauty, holiness and love, will tell you a different story. Skepticism and criticism find a foothold difficult when you experience the Lord.
One cannot deny moves of God are messy. The Christian experience is a life long journey not an event.
Today
And from those moves Christ birthed new ministries, such as, Bethel in Redding California, Ransomed Heart Ministries (fathering movement and man’s journey, breaking of agreements, etc.), International House of Prayer, Elijah House Ministries (birthed in the ’70s, healing from judgments, lies, and vows, healing of generations, etc.) and many others. And this does not include the many special ministries uniquely involved in deliverance, healing and restoration.
In the last few decades deliverance, inner healing, and Christian counseling have grown exponentially. Independent ministries as well.
Christ is preparing his church to reveal and demonstrate “him” in greater measure in the public arena. It will be a marketplace ministry not centered around the church but centered in Christ.
The call of this hour is to prepare.
Suddenness
You may be one the Lord is getting ready to take unto himself and initiate an intensive work of his Spirit. Or, maybe, Christ is taking you deep now.
Christ’s invitation may come suddenly and unexpectedly. It may result in a significant turning point – a paradigm shift. He will disciple you at a new level, setting you on a new course heading.
Many of us want to feel safe by wrapping God in a box, limiting him from disrupting our lives. We want Jesus and new life, but cringe at what he may reveal and ask.
The cost of Christ is great. But, oh, to know Christ and the power of his resurrection! To experience the unimaginable riches of Jesus.
Let him surprise you.
